Published: 5 Nov, 2022

Congratulations to graduates of the School's mathematics and statistics programmes who received their awards at a ceremony on Thursday 3 November. The class of 2022 enjoyed every moment of the graduation and the opportunity to celebrate with their classmates, their friends, and their families.

TU Dublin held its 2022 winter graduation ceremonies on its Blanchardstown site during the first week of November.  It was an immensely happy occasion and the first graduation ceremony celebrated by the new Faculty of Computing, Digital and Data. Four hundred and sixty graduates from the Faculty received awards including those receiving Higher Certificates, Honours and Ordinary Bachelor of Science degrees, Masters of Science and Doctors of Philosophy.

The School of Mathematics & Statistics had particular occasion to celebrate as following the graduation ceremony, the School presented two medals for outstanding achievement to its graduates. Isabel Cooke (BSc Hons Industrial Mathematics) received the 2022 John Forde medal and Jason Borland (BSc Hons Mathematics) received the 2022 Michael Tuite medal, both surrounded by their fellow graduates. There was additional cause for celebration on the day as David Lisovski (BSc Hons Mathematical Sciences), another graduate of the School of Mathematics & Statistics, is a recipient of a Student Excellence award from the College of Sciences & Health.

The School of Mathematics & Statistics is immensely proud of its graduates and the hard work and dedication they have shown in achieving their goals and we look forward to seeing them again in the future.
