Mathematics & Statistics at Scifest 2023
The School of Mathematics & Statistics was delighted to take part, once again, in the annual SciFest celebrations. Lecturers from the School were involved in the SciFest event held on the TU Dublin City Campus on Friday 5 May 2023 which was once again allowed to be in person following the pandemic.

Mathematics Volunteer Programme participants receive awards
Tuesday 25 April saw the presentation of certificates for participation and completion of the Mathematics Volunteer Programme - a volunteer tutoring scheme where TU Dublin students assist pupils from local DEIS schools with their mathematics learning.

On Saturday 22 April, Central Quad was open to anyone interested in studying the wide range of programmes available on that campus. It was part of a series of TU Dublin Open Days not only in Grangegorman but also on our Tallaght, Blanchardstown, Aungier Street locations.

Student receives Hamilton Prize in Mathematics
On Wednesday 1 March, Kituru Ndee a final-year student of the programme, TU874 BSc (Hons) Mathematical Sciences, received the Hamilton Prize in Mathematics for TU Dublin from the Royal Irish Academy.

5th-year students from 10 schools visit TU Dublin in Tallaght
Nearly 400 students from 10 link schools visited TU Dublin from Tuesday to Thursday (10-12 January) as part of a well-established collaboration between the Access Office and Mathematics and Statistics and other disciplines called the TU Dublin (Tallaght) Access Office Mathematics Initiative (TAOMI).

Neuromatch Conference 2022 (NMC22) is a conference for the online computational neuroscience community. Dr John Butler, a lecturer in the School, is a member of an international team of organisers. NMC22 is the fifth Neuromatch annual conference.
