TU811 Product Design Christmas Showcase 2023
The TU811 Product Design annual Christmas Showcase event took place on Thursday 15th December. Staff and students from all years of the programme were invited to the presentation event in the Michael O’Donnell Theatre in the Bolton Street Campus “to see creative solutions to a range of complex human problems”.
Students from Year 3 and Year 4 of the programme presented their entries for both the Bolton Trust and Engineers Without Borders “Where There Is No Engineer” competitions.
This year, the programme team were delighted to host James Bourke, founding member and Design Director at Dolmen Design and Innovation, as a guest speaker and to judge and critique the Year 3 Bolton Trust entries.
Dolmen Design and Innovation are a leading design house in Ireland, and a number of graduates from the TU811 Product Design Programme have worked in Dolmen.
Four competition prizes were presented at a reception after the event.

To see more project outputs from the TU811 Product Design programme, the Bolton Trust competition presentation events will be held in Spring 2024 and the Product Design Graduate Exhibition will be held in early June 2024 in Grangegorman campus.
