Student Visit to Allied Automation

On November 8th 2023,  Year 1 students from TU Dublin’s TU701 B. Eng. Tech. Automation Engineering programme spent the afternoon at Allied Automation’s Dublin 15 facility. 

Following an opening presentation by the company’s Managing Director, Dermot O’Brien, a number of Automation Engineering professionals demonstrated the design and operation of a range of automation machines/systems which the company are developing for customers in the European Medical Devices and Life Science sectors.

This enlightening plant tour facilitated students discover the fascinating range of Automation Engineering challenges being addressed in contemporary industry.

Students were furnished with greater context to their classroom/lab learning and also saw concrete examples of the career development paths of Automation Engineering professionals.
