Biochemistry Transition Year Challenge March 15th 2023
The School of Biological, Health, and Sports Sciences in conjunction with the TU Dublin Access and Civic Engagement Office hosted a Biochemistry Practical Challenge for Transition Year Students in our Central Quad laboratories in Grangegorman on Wednesday March 15th.
Lecturers Dr. Leanne Harris and Dr. Marcus Maher and Technician Graham Doyle facilitated the laboratory practical on the Biochemical Examination of Milk, which aims to give local TY students from the North and South Inner City the opportunity to experience what it's like being a Biology student in a third level educational setting.
We welcomed 14 TY students from different secondary schools in the area including Presentation Secondary School, Warrenmount Dublin 8, Mount Carmel Secondary School, King's Inns, Dublin 1, Westland Row CBS, South Cumberland St, Dublin 2, and St. Paul's CBS Secondary School, North Brunswick St, Dublin 7. Well done to all students who participated in this event!
