Dr. Mary Deasy was appointed Head of School in April 2026 and is responsible for all aspects of the operation and strategic direction of the School. Dr. Deasy is a senior academic at TU Dublin with over 30 years of experience spanning academic leadership, research strategy, programme development, and industry engagement. Mary was previously Head of the Research Engagement and Impact Office, which provides the supports needed to help researchers put effective engagement at the core of their practice, and maximise the impact of research outputs of direct benefit to society and future policy makers. The Office manages marketing and communications processes appropriate to the promotion and dissemination of research and innovation activities.
