On Monday, 26 January, TU Dublin was delighted to host the latest Film for All event, delivered in partnership with Phibsboro For All and the Phibsboro Film Society.

Members of the public, along with students, staff and community partners, came together on the Grangegorman campus for a special screening of No Other Land, continuing TU Dublin’s commitment to inclusive cultural events and community engagement.

No Other Land is a 2024 documentary directed by Basel Adra, Hamdan Ballal, Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor in their directorial debut. Filmed between 2019 and 2023, it documents the destruction of a Palestinian community in the occupied West Bank, highlighting residents’ efforts to resist forced displacement.

A co-production between Palestine and Norway, the film premiered in the Panorama section at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, where it received both the Panorama Audience Award for Best Documentary and the Berlinale Documentary Film Award.

This screening was held in conjunction with DCU and was followed by a round-table discussion, giving attendees the opportunity to reflect on the film and engage in conversation about its themes.

The details of February’s Film for All event will be available soon on the social media pages of Phibsboro For All.
