TU Dublin Launches Digital Badge Award for Apprenticeship Employers
The Access to Apprenticeship Programme at TU Dublin is delighted to launch its Digital Badge Award for employers on Friday, 19 March at 1pm.
The Digital Badge is awarded to companies to recognise their support and contribution to the Access to Apprenticeship programme and its mission to promote access, diversity and inclusion in craft apprenticeships.
Thirty companies from across the construction, motor, aviation, manufacturing, engineering and electrical industries will receive the award during a graduation event for the Access to Apprenticeship Class of 2020.
Minister for Further and Higher Education, Simon Harris TD, will begin the event with a keynote address to the students and employers in attendance, followed by Patrick Atkinson, CEO of the Chadwicks Group and Chairperson of the Access to Apprenticeship Programme, who will formally launch the Digital Badge.
The event is open to all and will be available to view here on Friday, 19 March at 1pm.
About Access to Apprenticeship
The Access to Apprenticeship (ATA) Programme is for young men and women aged 16 to 24 living in Dublin who experience social and economic barriers and aims to help them progress into an apprenticeship training programme. ATA provides an opportunity for them to:
- Sample a range of apprenticeships in the Construction, Engineering, Electrical, Aviation and Motor sectors;
- Prepare their CV and interview skills;
- Undertake two weeks of work experience;
- Get Health & Safety and Safe Pass Certificates.
