The annual TU Dublin Alumni and Friends Reception took place on Thursday, 9th October 2025, at the Irish Embassy in London. Co-hosted by TU Dublin President Dr Deirdre Lillis and His Excellency Martin Fraser, Ambassador of Ireland to Great Britain, the event brought together graduates and supporters of the University for an evening of networking, reconnection, and celebration.

The reception provided a warm welcome to all attendees, offering an opportunity to celebrate each other’s achievements while strengthening connections within the wider TU Dublin community. Guests enjoyed reconnecting with old friends, reminiscing about their time at the University, and forging meaningful new relationships during an engaging networking session led by Noel Davidson of the Entrepreneurs Academy. Structured activities ensured that participants could meet as many people as possible and maximise their networking experience.

TU Dublin President Dr Deirdre Lillis addressed attendees, highlighting the accomplishments of TU Dublin graduates worldwide:

“Our alumni are leaders and innovators across every sector, not only in Ireland but around the world. You bring the values and skills of TU Dublin into your work every day, and in doing so, you strengthen our University’s reputation globally. Wherever you are, there will always be a place for you at TU Dublin.”

Dr Deirdre Lillis

The University is proud of its continued growth and transformation as a practice-led, innovation-focused institution. Notably, 78% of Level 8 graduates are in full-time employment within nine months of graduation, the highest among Dublin universities, reflecting the readiness of TU Dublin graduates to make a tangible impact in their fields.

President Lillis extended an invitation to graduates to visit a TU Dublin campus on future trips to Dublin, offering a glimpse of the progress made and the exciting direction of the University.

The evening concluded with gratitude to Ambassador Fraser and his wife, Deirdre, for their warm hospitality and to everyone who joined the reception, helping make it a truly memorable occasion. TU Dublin looks forward to welcoming its alumni and friends back to London at the next gathering in 2026.
