TU Dublin Unveils TrailblazHER Awards: Celebrating Women, Inspiring Change

TU Dublin has unveiled the TrailblazHER Excellence Awards 2025, an inspiring new initiative designed to spotlight the exceptional contributions of women and their allies who are driving real change in
Recognising excellence across a diverse range of categories, from business and technology to sustainability, EDI and community impact, the awards shine a light on achievements often underrepresented in the public eye. Notably, several categories actively invite nominations from all genders, underscoring that advancing gender equality is a shared responsibility.
Claire MacNamee, TU Dublin’s Head of Enterprise Engagement, said:
“The TrailblazHER Excellence Awards are about more than recognition; they're a call to action. By celebrating these remarkable individuals, we aim to inspire future generations and reaffirm our commitment to building a fairer, more inclusive society for all."
While celebrating progress, TU Dublin is also realistic about the journey ahead. Persistent gaps still remain in leadership, entrepreneurship, politics, STEM fields, in industry and society as a whole. The TrailblazHER Excellence Awards are positioned as a catalyst for change: highlighting role models, advocating for inclusive practices, and challenging systemic barriers.
The awards will culminate in a prestigious ceremony on Thursday, 06 November 2025, at the Concert Hall on the University’s Grangegorman Campus, a night dedicated to honouring leadership, innovation, and impact.
Nominations are now open, and TU Dublin is seeking the public's assistance in spotlighting the TrailblazHERs who are transforming workplaces, industries, and communities.
