TU Dublin and Irish Traveller Movement Apprenticeship Day for Traveller and Roma Communities

Published: Wednesday 18 February 2026 - 16:33

On Friday, 13 March, Bolton Street will welcome prospective apprentices to the campus for an Apprenticeship Day for Traveller and Roma Communities organised by TU Dublin Access and Outreach in partnership with the Irish Traveller Movement (ITM). This day is all about creating a welcoming and supportive space for members of the Traveller and Roma communities to come together, try out different trades, and learn more about apprenticeship opportunities.

It’s an opportunity to build confidence, meet new people, and explore career paths in a practical, hands-on way. We hope the day will encourage and support participants to see what’s possible and feel empowered to take the next step towards training, employment, and new opportunities.

Event Highlights:

  • Learn about apprenticeship opportunities and the supports available.
  • Take part in hands-on trade demonstrations.
  • Enjoy a guided tour of TU Dublin’s workshops and training spaces.
  • Meet staff, ask questions, and connect with other apprentices.
  • Lunch will be provided to all attendees.

Event Details:

Whether you are just starting to think about your future or are actively looking to begin a career in the trades, this is a perfect opportunity to explore what’s out there and meet people who can help guide you along the way.
