About the Resource

 

The Digital Capabilities Framework for Students identifies six key sections.

• Digital Functional Skills
• Digital Participation
• Creative Digital Production
• Critical Use of Digital Information
• Digital Learning and Development
• Digital Wellbeing

The resource, which complements the framework, contains quizzes that are designed to help you reflect and get a better understanding of your strengths as well as any areas you might want to develop further.

Using the Resource

• Enter the resource through the Student Digital Capabilities link 
• To access the resource on your phone, scroll down to the bottom of this page for the QR code.

There are six self-assessment quizzes. Each section is colour-coded to match the Digital Capabilities Framework. Each section has four unique personas, from Novice to Expert level.

Step 1

• Read the information provided on the page.
• Flip the flashcards of the personas for each category and decide which description best matches your current capabilities.
• Take the six quizzes. Your results will be saved in your Digital Persona Profile.
• Select each persona from your profile to access some advice on how to improve your digital capabilities.

Step 2

Your lecturer may wish to know your Digital Capability Profile. Consider taking a screenshot of your results to share with them.
