How digital are you?

About the Resource

The Digital Capabilities Framework for Students identifies six key sections.

• Digital Functional Skills
• Digital Participation
• Creative Digital Production
• Critical Use of Digital Information
• Digital Learning and Development
• Digital Wellbeing

The resource, which complements the framework, contains quizzes that are designed to help you reflect and get a better understanding of your strengths as well as any areas you might want to develop further.

Using the Resource

• Enter the resource through the Student Digital Capabilities link 
• To access the resource on your phone, scroll down to the bottom of this page for the QR code.

There are six self-assessment quizzes. Each section is colour-coded to match the Digital Capabilities Framework. Each section has four unique personas, from Novice to Expert level.

Step 1

• Read the information provided on the page.
• Scroll down to access Digital Functional Skills.
• Flip the flashcards of the four personas and decide which description best matches your current capabilities.
• Take the quiz. Move the slider up or down to match your level of confidence in the Can-Do statement.
• Take note of your score and persona.

Step 2

• Repeat Step One for the remaining five sections.

At the end of the resource, you will be asked to select each persona you were awarded. This will give you your Digital Capability Profile.

Your Digital Capability Profile will provide some advice on how to level up your capabilities. It is recommended that you seek information on how to improve these areas.

Step 3

Your lecturer may wish to know your Digital Capability Profile. Consider taking a screenshot of your results to share with them.
