Optional /Elective Module Selection

Some TU Dublin programmes offer students a choice of Optional/Elective modules in Semester 1 and 2, in addition to the mandatory core modules a student must take.

Twice an academic year, normally in October/November and February students are required to inform the University of their Optional/Elective Module selection.

  • Students must follow the instructions sent to their student email on how to inform the University of your Optional/Elective Module selection.
  • Completing module selection ensures that your student record is correct and enables your exams/assessment results to be applied to your account promptly and issued to you without any delays. It is your responsibility to ensure the modules on your student account are correct.

Note: Students registered on January start programmes will complete their Semester 1 and year-long module selection in February and their Semester 2 modules are added in November.
