Throughout the academic year, TU Dublin Library Services publishes a series of LibGuides, which seek to highlight the breadth and diversity of our collections—encompassing books, journal articles, and resources across disciplines. These guides offer staff the opportunity to explore our collections, delve into new topics, revisit others, and introduce students and staff to authors, topics, and disciplines. As preparations for the new academic year begin, we look back at the guides created in the 2024/25 academic year. Know a book that would make an ideal addition to the collection? Black History Month
Created to mark Black History Month, this libguide is a collection of materials drawn from the TU Dublin Libraries in relation to black culture and history, presented under several themes including Art and Literature, and Activism, Inclusion and Intersectionality.
Open Advent
Some Advent calendars include chocolate. Our Advent calendar is research focused, highlighting open access resources from our collections and beyond, most of which have a Christmas theme.
Pride Guide
Our Pride Guide was created in partnership with Equality, Diversity and Inclusion @ TU Dublin (EDI). It brings together a curated selection of resources from TU Dublin Libraries that highlight LGBTQI+ history, lived experiences, and scholarly work.
Disability Awareness Guide
In alignment with this mission of Technological University Dublin’s Strategic Intent, the Disability Awareness Guide draws resources from multiple disciplines, showcasing recent academic research and writing.
Feel Good Days: A Library Guide to Thriving in University
Our Feel Good Days Guide was created with the view of providing students with material for life in university and beyond, encompassing life skills, self-care, and study skills.
Green Week
Created to coincide with onsite Green Week events, the Green Week Guide encompasses material from a range of disciplines, highlighting the varied work being done in the name of a greener future.
