Industrial Research
Companies are very welcome to engage with HEMS on their industrial research journey. The team in HEMS have worked on over 500 industrial in the last 10 years, developing novel solutions and addressing urgent needs.
HEMS has a strong history of collaborative research with companies from the Irish Concrete Federation (ICF). The research team have developed a range of test procedures for assessing the compatibility of new materials with the Irish climate. These tests are now commercially available through the Technology Gateway (CREST).

The TU Dublin pilot plant, situated on the Tallaght campus, is capable of manufacturing solid formulations. It comprises 5 vessels ranging from 250Lto 500L, with a training instrumentation skid utilising a centrally controlled SCADA interface for the user.
Other equipment in the Pilot Plant includes - Millipore K-Prime unit for larger scale chromatography projects, a bottling line with 500ml fill capacity fed from the main vessels in the lab, a tableting module and a pasteurising unit.
