Background
Dr. Furong Tian received a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, a master in Biochemistry, and Ph.D. degrees in Chemistry from Stuttgart University and Max-Planck Institute for Metal Research in 2006. She was a visiting Research Scientist in Radiation department, in Kyoto University and National Institute for materials Science in Japan. She was a posdoc researcher in the Institute of Inhalation Biology, Helmholtz Zentrum München, supported by a Helmholtz-DAAD scholarship, ANTICARBON Seventh Framework Programme and NANOTRUCK. In 2013, she worked as Marie curie senior research fellow at Nano lab in FOCAS Research Institute.
Research interests
My research interest mainly focuses on diseases diagnostic and treatment with novel technologies. The diagnostic is including smart multifunctional molecular imaging nanoprobes, ultrasensitive detection technologies and devices based on nano particles for detection of tumor biomarkers, biosensors, point-of-care lateral strip for cancer and pathogens. The treatments are including cold atmosphere plasma, sustainable plant-based extraction and novel drug delivery to conquer cancers and chronic diseases.
