Preparing Learners for Ireland’s Offshore Wind Future
TU Dublin and Skillnet Offshore Wind Academy are now accepting applications for the newly launched micro-credential in the Fundamentals of Offshore Wind Energy. Commencing in October 2025, this part-time 12-week Level 9 course is designed to prepare learners for one of Ireland’s fastest-growing and strategically vital sectors.
Delivered in a flexible blended format, this industry-led programme offers a multidisciplinary overview of offshore wind energy. Participants will explore the full lifecycle of an offshore wind farm, from site assessment and planning to construction, commissioning, and operations, while examining current policy developments and cutting-edge technologies.
The micro-credential combines academic instruction with expert guest lectures and case studies, ensuring learners gain both foundational knowledge and real-world insights into the challenges and opportunities of offshore environments.
Qualifying applicants can avail of a 40% Skillnet fee subsidy (€600, or €1,000 for non-eligible applicants).
