TU Dublin’s Enterprise Academy Hosts Day One of Retail Excellence Ireland’s Retail Management Programme
Yesterday, TU Dublin Enterprise Academy hosted the first day of the Retail Excellence Ireland (REI) Management Development Programme 2025 at TU Dublin’s Grangegorman campus. We welcomed 41 learners, representing retailers across multiple sectors in Ireland for the day long event designed to equip both emerging and experienced retail managers with the skills to lead in an evolving landscape.
Retail Excellence involves 2,200 leading retail companies and is by far the largest retail industry body in Ireland, committed to enhancing the consumer retail experience by developing top-class retail standards and skills while promoting a vibrant and competitive world-class retail industry in Ireland.
Led by Jean McCabe (CEO, Retail Excellence Ireland) and James Burke (James Burke & Associates), the day started with an energising discussion around current trends in the retail industry before moving into an insightful session from Damien Smyth, TU Dublin School of Business Technology, Retail and Supply Chain, on Digital Transformation in Retail, which showed how consumer expectations are driving innovation in real-time.
Afternoon highlights included Alf Dunbar’s high impact You Are The Difference customer service coaching session, offering simple, practical techniques for building confidence and delivering standout customer experiences and an inspiring talk from REI’s Retail Manager of the Year, Jide Adio.
TU Dublin Enterprise Academy and the TU Dublin School of Business Technology, Retail and Supply Chain were delighted to support this important programme
