The Curriculum Management function of Academic Affairs is responsible for managing and supporting key academic information systems that underpin academic activities across the University, including the systems required for programme management and quality enhancement. In line with Objective PA4 03 of the University’s Strategic Intent, the principal roles and responsibilities are:

  • Expert users of the key applications (including the Programme and Module Catalogue and Banner)
  • Maintenance, development and configuration of each application for use in TU Dublin
    Development of reports from these key applications
  • Managing ongoing upgrades based on contractual agreements with vendors
  • Improvement of systems in line with the requirements of the academic community
  • Development of Training Resources, Users Guides and Delivery of Training on each AIS system for academic users. This development will take place in partnership with Technology Services.
  • Development (in partnership with Technology Services) of integrated processes across the AIS systems so that data flows (from the user’s point of view) seamlessly across the different AIS systems and there is only one key data entry point.
