  • Create pathways for all

Only one in four people working in STEM in Ireland are women.  Research with Irish secondary school girls indicates that they attribute this to a range of factors including:

  • Gender stereotypes i.e. STEM jobs are ‘male jobs’ - 46%
  • Lack of confidence – 11%
  • Lack of information on or access to STEM subjects – 10%
  • Lack of support –9%
  • Perceived lack of opportunities for women in STEM – 7%
  • Lack of interest – 5%
  • Other – 17%

We achieve our aims through:

  • Events to promote gender diversity in technology.
  • Helping current students come together and providing a network of support and recognition of equality, diversity & inclusion in technology courses.
  • Reaching out to primary and secondary schools to promote and normalize gender diversity in technology.

Our events and initiatives include online design challenge events, coding events, speaker events, coffee mornings and promoting EDI in technology on social media platforms
