Enhancing Building Efficiency at TU Dublin

TU Dublin’s Sustainability Intelligence Team is inviting all residents and users of the Greenway Hub to a consultation session about the upcoming installation of People-Counting Sensors (PCS) in common areas.

These sensors will be installed as part of a the Towards a Sustainable University Campus (TSUC) initiative aimed at improving how the building is used, maintained, and made more energy efficient all while staying fully GDPR compliant. The sensors will not track individuals, record imagery of people or count people in private rooms or offices. The sensors will detect human movement only in shared, common spaces and create a heatmap of that movement.
