The East Quad is a Cultural Hub not only for the campus but also for the city since it opened in 2020. It is is home to our three performances spaces, our Concert Hall, Black Box Theatre and The Recital Hall. These venues are used to present performances, including ensemble concerts, solo and chamber music recitals, opera and drama productions, and musical evenings, featuring students of all levels, staff and members of the public engaged with ensembles. The Front Lobby and Back Atrium of East Quad are utilised as Exhibition spaces by the Schools of Art and Design and Media.
Our Training Restaurants, located in Central Quad and Tallaght can be booked here. The Main Lobby in Central Quad is Our Culinary Shop is located in the Main Lobby Area, Central Quad Building, Grangegorman Campus and sells all our baked goods, pastries, cookies and confectionary items produced by our students.

On approaching the East Quad, visitors will see striking brass cladding, which wraps around the building’s 340 seater Concert Hall. The brass cladding recalls the Conservatoire’s long legacy of musical education in brass instruments dating back 130 years. The East Quad is also home to our Black Box Theatre and Recital Hall, all of which are active teaching spaces as well public performance spaces.
Concert Hall

The Concert Hall is a 340-seater performance space, best suited to live music, theatre and talks.
Recital Hall

The Recital Hall is an intimate space, ideal for intimate live music performances.
Black Box Theatre

The Black Box Theatre is a very versatile venue, suitable for theatre and for tv and podcast recording. It has 84 retractable seats.
We’re pleased to welcome you to an event hosted by the Faculty of Arts and Humanities. Please check your event ticket carefully for the exact venue, as our events take place across multiple locations. From time to time we may host events off site, this will be made clear at time of booking.
Each campus is served by its own transport links and offers different facilities.
