World Skills 2025

Our School had an excellent three days last week at the WorldSkills Ireland Logistics and Freight Forwarding Competition 2025 in the RDS. Well done to Chief Expert Megan Yeates for designing a challenging and realistic Test Project.

On day one, the competitors were given a case study; day two they were dealing with a real-life shipping scenario including roleplays.

On the final day the focus was on computer-based tools and quantitative methods.

TU907/2 student Orlaith McGeough was our winner of the WorldSkills Ireland Logistics and Freight Forwarding Competition 2025! Orlaith may now have an opportunity to represent Ireland at a future WorldSkills or EuroSkills Competition.

The evert in the RDS was a great success with over 30,000 visitors over the three days, it provided an excellent opportunity to showcase both our BSc in Logistics and Supply Chain Management programme and the Logistics Associate Apprenticeship.
