Academic Staff

Bianca holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Applied Sciences, Darmstadt Germany, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University College Dublin. Bianca is a geospatial data scientist whose work explores the intersection of spatial analytics and deep learning. Her research combines practical industry insight with academic expertise to address complex challenges involving large scale geospatial data.

She works with a range of spatial datasets, including airborne LiDAR, satellite imagery, and crowd sourced geospatial information. Her current projects focus on developing AI based methods for analysing spatial patterns, understanding dynamic environments, and supporting decision making in environmentally oriented contexts. She also investigates the use of immersive VR environments as tools for exploring and communicating geospatial phenomena.
