Welcome to Kickstarting College Success – Extended Orientation!

Our Extended Orientation Programme is designed to guide computing students through their first year at TU Dublin. Unlike a one-off event, this programme is a journey that supports your transition, growth, and success from day one.

Each step of the programme helps you:

  • Connect with fellow students and staff

  • Build essential skills

  • Stay on track throughout your first year

Take it at your own pace – and enjoy the journey!

Throughout Semester 1 and 2, you’ll have opportunities to join social and wellness events, helping you feel part of the TU Dublin community. Every Monday, our Transitions Co-ordinator will send you a focused email with preparation tasks and engaging activities. These quick, practical tasks are designed to make your transition into university life smooth and enjoyable.

By participating in all five weeks of the programme, you’ll gain valuable insights and earn a digital badge to showcase your commitment and readiness for your academic journey.

Dive into our extended induction and set yourself up for success at TU Dublin! Because of the difficulties facing students with registration and Brightspace.

Students can still completes weeks 1, 3, 4, and 5. The deadline to complete tasks will be extended until Sunday 14th November !!

         Explore the nomination and election process on the "Class Rep Hub" of the             Students' Union website. 🌐 

  1. Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (15 mins) 🌍 
    Check out the Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion page. Learn how to create an inclusive environment for everyone in your class. Watch the video at the top of the page and read the page (skip the Learning Activities at the bottom) .✨

    Test your knowledge with a quick 10-question quiz! You can retake it as many times as you need, but make sure you answer all questions correctly by midnight on Sunday the 28th September. πŸ•›

  1. Photo Time (10 mins) πŸ“Έ 
    Snap a photo of the front of one of the Students' Union offices on your campus! Upload the picture on the quiz MS Form. If you don’t have a camera, write a few sentences about the Students' Union office and save them in a Word document. Add to it each week, then submit it in Week 5 for your digital badge!
