Engineering Your Future 2025

An enthusiastic group of transition year students spent a week in TU Dublin building bridges, circuits and machines for Engineering Your Future 2025. The budding young engineers visited engineering facilities in Bolton street, Blanchardstown, Tallaght and Grange Gorman. They also got a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes of Ireland's electricity network thanks to ESB staff who facilitated a visit to the 220kV substation in Corduff. The week concluded with a Pizza party in Central Quad on Friday and the tired but grateful students expressed a new understanding of engineering and its impact. I am sure we will be seeing many of them in our classrooms in two year's time. Engineering your Future is a yearly event facilitated by Engineers Ireland.
