WITU@SEEE Launches KA171 WBE Project and Celebrates Erasmus Days 2026
The Women in Technology United (WITU@SEEE) team at TU Dublin held its annual gathering on 15 October, bringing together 37 students and 8 lecturers to celebrate Erasmus Days 2026 and launch the KA171 WBE Erasmus+ project.
Following a welcome from Emma Robinson, Head of School, students were introduced to Erasmus mobility opportunities and the supports available to them.
A highlight of the event was the virtual participation of H.E. Adrian Farrell, Ireland’s Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, who joined from Sarajevo. Drawing on his own experience as one of the early Erasmus students, he encouraged students to embrace international opportunities and the personal and professional development they can offer.
Lucy Daly and Saoirse Dorgan, TU821 students, shared their own Erasmus preparation experiences, offering practical insights into preparing for mobility, planning and developing independence and confidence.
2026-1-IE02-KA171-HED-000439039 Project was introduced with practical guidance on eligibility, funding, anticipated costs, selection criteria and the Erasmus application process.
The event also reflected the wider aims of WITU@SEEE: building a supportive and inclusive community for women and gender-diverse students in engineering, while encouraging greater participation in international opportunities.
The event was organised by the WITU@SEEE team: Jane Charles, Jane Courtney, Ruth Coffey, Lejla Rovcanin, Leslie Shoemaker, Malabika Basu, Paula Kelly, Yulia Semenova, and Smaya Moher.
