Dr. Sojan Mathew is a lecturer in the School of Surveying and Construction Innovation at TU Dublin and serves as the Research Co-ordinator for the Built Environment Research Innovation Centre. He has over ten years of teaching and research experience in the areas of remote sensing, photogrammetry, geographic information systems, data analytics, quantitative methods and geomorphology.

Prior to joining TU Dublin, Dr. Mathew held research and teaching positions at University College Dublin and Champlain College Dublin, and worked as a Research Scientist Associate at the University of Texas at Austin, USA.

His research primarily focuses on the application of remote sensing, GIS, and photogrammetry in modelling the geomorphological evolution of biophysical environments. Over the course of his career, he has secured approximately €4.7 million in research funding.

Dr. Mathew has published in several leading international peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Coastal Research, Earth Surface Processes and Landforms, and Geomorphology.
