The MECC (Making Every Contact Count) Feb 2026

Published: Monday 2 March 2026 - 15:44

The MECC (Making Every Contact Count) event on the 26th of February at TU Dublin, Central Quad Foyer, was a tremendous success, providing a valuable opportunity to highlight the role of clinical measurement physiologists in promoting health and wellbeing through everyday interactions. This year, the pop-up clinic and information session focused on respiratory physiology and was organised by second-year clinical measurement physiologists in training from TU868. MECC emphasises the importance of brief, evidence-based interventions and communication in supporting positive behaviour change among patients. Approximately 150 students and staff of TU Dublin visited the event. Those who stopped by the information stands saw and heard how MECC can be integrated into routine clinical practice, reinforcing a preventative, person-centred approach to care. The event fostered collaboration and shared learning, encouraging all to reflect on their future roles and how they can impact health outcomes.
