Before the Meeting:

Focus on fast, efficient and effective meetings.

Structure and preparation of issues to be raised/discussed

Gathering of information/issues prior to the meeting

Dealing with issues effectively to avoid having to bring them up at a meeting

Clear personal objectives

During the Meeting:

Participating

Listening

Questioning techniques

Asserting yourself

Presenting your point of view

Physical behaviour

First impressions

Understanding personality and perceptual differences

Presenting a professional image

Positive and constructive contributions during the meeting

Making notes

Writing action items

Disagreeing without problems

Strong focus on the role of the Chair/Facilitator

Meeting management

Dealing with personal "agendas"

Power of positive language

Compiling an agenda prior to the meeting and ensuring that it is covered within a certain time       frame
