Public Sector Wellbeing Network
TU Dublin’s Commitment to External Engagement in Wellbeing
At Technological University Dublin, Partnership is a cornerstone of our strategic vision Strategic Intent 2030 which is built around the core pillars of People, Planet, and Partnership.
We believe that solving today’s complex workplace and societal challenges requires active collaboration across sectors. Through our THRIVE Workplace Wellbeing Framework, TU Dublin is committed to building a "Culture that Cares" by nurturing positive relationships, shared learning, and community engagement.
By supporting the Public Sector Wellbeing Network, TU Dublin actively connects with government departments, local authorities, higher education peers, and state agencies. We are proud to provide a collaborative space where public sector leaders can share knowledge, address shared challenges, and co-create healthier, happier workplaces together.
Public Sector Wellbeing Network, an inter-agency community hosted and chaired by TU Dublin.
The network brings together health, safety, HR, and wellbeing practitioners across local government, civil service, higher education, state agencies, and public health bodies to collaborate, share best practices, and drive the future of workplace wellbeing across Ireland’s public sector.
Our Purpose
As workplace wellbeing evolves from standalone initiatives toward psychosocial safety, risk management, and measurable outcomes, this network provides a structured yet supportive space for public sector colleagues to:
- Connect: Build meaningful peer relationships across city/county councils, government departments, state bodies, and higher education institutions.
- Collaborate: Share evidence-based initiatives, address systemic workplace challenges, and reduce duplication across public bodies.
- Transform: Shift from reactive wellbeing perks to inclusive practices and impactful strategies
How We Meet
We gather virtually every 6 weeks for 60 minutes. To cater to diverse needs across our member agencies, our meeting formats include three core areas:
- Expert & Strategic Spotlights: Sessions featuring guest speakers and specialist trainers on policy, psychosocial risk, and outcome measurement.
- Public Sector Case Studies: Short spotlights highlighting real-world initiatives, challenges, and successes from member organisations.
- Peer Support & Problem-Solving Clinics: Open-floor, Chatham House Rule sessions dedicated purely to candid peer discussion, troubleshooting, and networking.
Governance & Network Resources
To ensure the network remains focused, sustainable, and transparent, our operations are guided by a formal agreement.
