Governance
At TU Dublin, we’re committed to supporting student-led initiatives through clear structures, policies, and guidance. Our Governance framework ensures that Sport Clubs, Societies, and Volunteering programmes operate safely, fairly, and in the best interests of the student community.
All areas of Student Life are led by students, supported by TU Dublin staff, and follow governance policies that promote transparency, accountability, inclusion, and sustainability.
Student Life supports TU Dublin's Zero Tolderance Pledge
TU Dublin Student Life - Sport, Societies & Volunteering support the TU Dublin Zero Tolderance pledge and request our student volunteers complete consent & disclosure training and promote the principles of the pledge to our students where possible.
As of December 2025, TU Dublin became the first university in Ireland to publicly commit to the Zero Tolerance Pledge, a community-led initiative in Dublin's Inner City that declares violence against women is not tolerated within participating organisations or on their premises.
The University signed the pledge at a special event on campus, attended by Mary Lou McDonald TD, signalling its strong, proactive stance in creating safer environments for women and girls across its communities.
The pledge is part of a growing movement in Dublin‘s Inner City that calls on organisations to state clearly and publicly that they do not tolerate violence, harassment, or coercive control against women. .png)
