TU Dublin Sport is proud to announce that all four of it’s campus sport facilities  Grangegorman, Broombridge, Tallaght, and Blanchardstown have achieved Gold Standard Accreditation at the 2025 Ireland Active National Quality Standard (NQS) Awards.

The NQS Awards have been the benchmark of excellence for Ireland’s Leisure, Health, and Fitness sector since 2001. They are the only industry-specific quality awards in Ireland and remain the most respected accolades for fitness and leisure facilities nationwide.

“We are proud to continue setting the standard for quality, safety, and service in university sport and fitness in Ireland.” Derrick Crowley, Sports Facilities Coordinator-Operations.

On the awards night TU Dublin Sport was also shortlisted for the Best Overall Fitness Award, a title we proudly won in 2024. While it was not two in a row this year the recognition highlights TU Dublin’s continued dedication of excellence in the sector.

This year’s success continues a strong tradition of excellence for TU Dublin Sport. In 2024, TU Dublin won Best Overall Fitness Centre, was shortlisted for Best Newcomer with our Tallaght Sport Facility, and Derrick Crowley Sports Facilities Coordinator–Operations, was named Ireland Active Staff Person of the Year.

“Receiving Gold Standard Accreditation across all four of our campuses is a tremendous achievement and a testament to the hard work, professionalism, and dedication of our team,” Laura Fitzpatrick-Sport Facility and Development Manager
