Social 5-a-side

Social 5-a-side football is a fun and friendly way for TU Dublin students to play regular football in a relaxed, social environment. Whether you’re new to the game, returning after a break, or just looking for a weekly kickabout with friends, 5-a-side is a great way to stay active and connected on campus.

Our Social 5-a-Side programme runs across TU Dublin campuses in both league and drop-in formats.

City Campus Social 5-a-Side League

Aungier Street | Bolton Street | Grangegorman

The City Campus Social 5-a-Side League runs as a structured student league.

• Location: Grangegorman Astro Pitch
• Start date: Monday 9th February
• Schedule: One game per week (Monday–Thursday)
• Cost: €40 per team
• Team size: No maximum number of players

Important information:

• Open to TU Dublin students only
• All players must register using their TU Dublin email address
• Student ID cards will be checked
• Matches take place during dedicated 5-a-side time slots
• Team captains will be added to a WhatsApp group to receive weekly fixtures
• All teams must sign a Code of Conduct before participation

Tallaght Campus Social 5-a-Side League

• Location: Tallaght Main Sports Hall
• Start date: Monday, 9th February
• Schedule: One game per week (Monday–Thursday)
• Cost: €40 per team

Key details:

• Open to TU Dublin students only
• TU Dublin email required for registration
• Student ID checks on match days
• One game per week
• Fixtures shared weekly with team captains via WhatsApp
• Code of Conduct required for all teams

Blanchardstown Campus – Social Drop-In Football

Blanchardstown runs as a social drop-in session, offering a casual and flexible way to play football on campus.

• Location: Sports Hall, C Block
• When: Every Wednesday
• Time: 2:00pm – 4:00pm

This session is:

• Social and non-competitive
• Open to all abilities
• No teams or fixtures
• Just turn up and play
