Awards
TU Dublin's Student Volunteering Awards provide an opportunity for students to reflect on and showcase their volunteering achievements and the positive impact they are making on others and in the world.
Student volunteers embody hands-on demonstrations of our Strategic Pillars: People, Planet and Partnership and we want students to recognise the contribution they are making and feel encouraged to continue their volunteering activities while here and beyond TU Dublin.
We hope to recognise all volunteering that our students engage in.
Examples of volunteering include
- Society or Sports Club Committee Members
 - Peer Mentors
 - Access Student Leaders
 - Class Reps
 - Peer Supporters for the Counselling team
 - Event support with our Chaplaincy
 - TU Dublin Students’ Union RAG and Welfare Crew, plus other SU initiatives
 - Any volunteering activity or project at TU Dublin or externally.
E.g. coaching for a local sports team, fundraising for a cause you connect with, charity shop work, climate activism, etc.
If you are volunteering and you log sufficient hours (minimum 20 hours) on your dashboard on www.studentvolunteer.ie , you will receive a Volunteering Award.
Lead the Way Volunteering Certificate
We highly value leadership and entrepreneurial activity at TU Dublin. Staff nominate those students who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in their volunteering, and we award these student leaders a ‘Lead the Way' certificate.
Category Volunteering Awards
We also have approximately 12 categories of Volunteering Awards. These awards recognise the best of volunteering projects that our students participate in and often initiate themselves - on and off campus. The recipients of these awards are nominated by others or complete an application process.
Adjudicators support the decision-making process on awardees.
