Laptop Loans

 

  • Short-term laptops are only available to borrow from Aungier Street and Park House Grangegorman libraries.  
  • These laptops can only be borrowed for a maximum of 3 hours for use in the library only. They must not be removed from the library  
  • If borrowed close to closing time, they must be returned by closing time.   
  • If you are leaving the library, make sure to return the laptop. They are not to be left sitting at an empty desk. Check our Conditions of Loan guide for further information. 

 

How to borrow a laptop: 

 

  • Park House Grangegorman – the short-term laptops can be borrowed from the self-service LapSafe laptop lockers located on the Ground Floor opposite the main desk. For more information visit the Guide to LapSafe Laptop Loans. 
  • Aungier Street - you can borrow laptops by asking library staff members at the main desk. 

As part of the package of support for higher and further education institutions, the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science has allocated funding to support disadvantaged students in the higher education sector in accessing ICT (Information and Communications Technology) devices.  

  • HEA laptops are loaned via the library on each campus 
  • The laptops can be issued to approved applicants for the duration of the academic year

Please note: Library Services does not manage or approve applications for the Laptop Loan Scheme. We simply facilitate the borrowing and return of the laptops.
