TU Dublin researchers are invited to take part in the newly finalised Food & Sustainability Enterprise Engagement Development Programme, launching 9 December 2025. Funded through ARISE and delivered in partnership with Furthr, this initiative is designed to strengthen researcher–enterprise collaboration across some of Ireland’s most rapidly developing applied research sectors.

This professional development programme is open to all research-active staff, including Principal Investigators, Postdoctoral Researchers, Research Fellows, and academic researchers at every career stage. The 2025–26 edition of the programme focuses on the Food, Agritech, Bioeconomy, and Sustainability sectors, offering participants tailored insights, case studies, and hands-on engagement with enterprise partners.

Why Take Part?

  • Translate research into real-world impact – enterprise collaboration is often the fastest route to achieving meaningful societal and economic outcomes.

  • Enhance funding competitiveness – while GOIPG programmes typically see success rates of 6–10%, Enterprise Partnership schemes regularly achieve 40–50%.

  • Stay aligned with funding trends – national and EU agencies are increasingly prioritising applied, challenge-led research and early stakeholder engagement, particularly in the bioeconomy and sustainability domains.

  • Support TU Dublin’s mission – by contributing to high-impact, industry-relevant research that benefits communities, enterprises, and the wider economy.

What the Programme Offers

Participants will be supported to:

  • Build strategic research relationships and develop effective networking approaches.

  • Communicate research value with clarity and confidence, using tools such as the Impact Canvas.

  • Apply learning through an industry–research matchmaking event, connecting TU Dublin researchers with enterprises in the Food & Sustainability sectors.
