Ramping Up Your Research Expertise with Enterprises: Join Us on 20th & 28th May

Published: 1 May, 2025

The success of enterprise-oriented applications for funding research is much higher than those that do not have an enterprise partner. Yet collaborating with enterprises and their expectations tends to require an adaptation of how academic expertise is presented. TU Dublin has designed with Furthr, one of Ireland’s leading Enterprise Ireland training providers, the delivery of a development programme that seeks to present and link your expertise with suitably interested enterprises. The aim is to produce a business case and resourcing plan with the relevant company for carrying out work targeted at addressing an issue they face.

The Digital Futures Research Hub, with support from the ARISE initiative, is delighted to announce the launch of our Enterprise Engagement Training Programme, designed to equip TU Dublin researchers with the tools, confidence, and insight to collaborate more effectively with industry partners.

This inaugural training cohort will lean towards the ICT & Financial Services sector and is open to TU Dublin researchers from all disciplines who are interested in developing impactful enterprise relationships. The supporting matchmaking and enterprise problem definition mentioning are planned to take place from September to November requiring three ½ day sessions.

📅 Training Dates: 20th & 28th May 2025, 10:00-16:00
📍 Location: Greenway Hub, Grangegorman.

The interactive sessions will explore:

  • Understanding enterprise needs and challenges
  • Communicating your research value proposition
  • Navigating commercialisation pathways and funding supports
  • Building sustainable, mutually beneficial partnerships with industry

Whether you're new to enterprise engagement or looking to deepen your collaborative practice, this training will support you in translating your research into real-world impact.

Places are limited – early registration is advised.
