Our specialised research centres, labs, and expert teams provide expert support for businesses in the Food, Agritech, Bioeconomy, and Sustainability sectors. From food innovation to sustainable packaging and precision farming, our facilities help enterprises drive innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.

Food Innovation Lab – Supporting food product development, reformulation, and sensory analysis with pilot-scale food processing and testing capabilities.
Dublin Energy Lab (DEL) – Advancing renewable energy and resource efficiency solutions, including low-carbon energy applications for the food and bioeconomy sectors.
Bio-CERG (Bioeconomy & Circular Economy Research Group) – Driving research into bio-based materials and sustainable bio-construction innovations.
SPBR (Centre for Sustainable Packaging & Bioproducts Research) – Developing and testing biodegradable, compostable, and recyclable packaging solutions to support the transition to a circular economy.
tPOT (Towards People Oriented Technology) – Exploring smart technologies that interact with people or the human body, with applications in agritech, food innovation, and sustainability.
Microbiology & Food Safety Labs – Equipped with advanced pathogen detection, shelf-life testing, and chemical analysis technologies (ICP-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS).
Smart Agritech & Precision Farming Hub – Featuring AI-driven sensor technologies, climate-controlled greenhouses, and digital monitoring systems to optimise sustainable farming practices.
Bioprocessing & Fermentation Labs – Supporting enzyme screening, bio-waste valorisation, and alternative protein development for sustainable food and bioeconomy applications.
