CEBII launches “Rise Up” to support immigrant entrepreneurs in Ireland
The Centre for Entrepreneurial Behaviour, Inclusion and Innovation (CEBII) at TU Dublin has launched Rise Up, a new initiative designed to support immigrants in Ireland who want to start, develop, and grow their own businesses.
Delivered in partnership with the Open Doors Initiative and Broadlake, Rise Up responds to the growing demand for accessible, practical, and inclusive entrepreneurship support among immigrant communities across Ireland.
Rise Up is structured as a three-stage pathway that meets participants at different points in their entrepreneurial journey:

Stand Up – A series of monthly online webinars offering clear, practical information about starting a business in Ireland, including legal structures, finance, regulation, and supports.

Start Up – Interactive workshops that help participants develop viable business ideas, build confidence, and take concrete steps towards launching their enterprise.

Scale Up – Targeted supports for immigrant entrepreneurs who are ready to grow their business, including mentoring, networks, and strategic guidance.
By combining expert-led learning, real-world insights, and inclusive delivery, Rise Up aims to reduce barriers to entrepreneurship and unlock the economic and social potential of immigrant entrepreneurs in Ireland.
Speaking about the launch, Prof Tom Cooney highlighted that Rise Up reflects CEBII's mission to advance inclusive entrepreneurship by ensuring that individuals from diverse backgrounds have access to high-quality education, mentoring, and support.
The Stand-Up webinar series is open to anyone interested in learning more about entrepreneurship in Ireland, with no prior business experience required.
