Priority 1: Build a Distinctive Intellectual Identity

CEBII is a research centre with a clear and specific focus: understanding entrepreneurship as it is actually experienced across the full population, through the lens of behavioural science and inclusion. This priority is about establishing a coherent, recognisable scholarly identity, one that gives funders, partners, and policy audiences a clear reason to engage with us.

We do this by building a published body of CEBII-attributed work, producing working papers and policy briefs alongside peer-reviewed articles, and contributing to national policy consultations. A shared conceptual framework (capability, behaviour, inclusion, context) runs through everything we produce. Over time, we are developing 2–3 thematic strengths that will define CEBII's distinctive contribution to the field.
