Megan returned to CERI in November 2025 as a Postdoctoral Researcher following completion of her PhD which was funded by the TU Dublin Fiosraigh programme. She conducted the Child Eye Health Study (CEHS) which aimed to synthesise European paediatric refractive error prevalence, refine clinical protocols and investigate the relationship between lifestyle factors and childhood ocular development. Megan is involved in the Myopia MAP project developing a national framework for myopia management. She is a study investigator for the Stellest Lens Observational Multicentre European Study (SLOMES) and Ocumension trials, which aim to evaluate the safety and efficacy of myopia control methods. She has a background in paediatric optometry and is interested in public health and ocular development.
