Excellence in Provision of Support to Researchers

Description 

The Excellence in Provision of Support to Researchers Award recognises the contributions of staff from TU Dublin staff who provide support to researchers.

Eligibility  

The award is open to Professional, Management, Support or Technical Staff who provide essential support, training, and resources for researchers.

Nomination & Application Process 

Nominations should come from two TU Dublin staff members on a single form or the research student body.

Evaluation Criteria 

Nominees will have enabled and enhanced the research experience for researchers, fostering a positive and supportive research environment through their professionalism and dedication.

A nominee might for example have achievements with respect to:

  • Advice and support - consistently provide administrative, technical, or operational support or advice that enhances a person’s research efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Creating a positive environment - help to create a positive and collaborative environment for research and innovation activities;
  • Enriching the research experience - facilitate effective communication and cooperation between researchers and those that can help them on their research journey; or provides training or advice to help researchers develop skills to effectively navigate research processes and tools.

Evaluation Process 

The applications will be evaluated by an internal panel who will submit their recommendations for the top 5 scoring applications to the Awards Decision Board, which will be chaired by the Vice President for Research & Innovation.
