Enterprise Ireland Capital Equipment Call
Under the 2020 Enterprise Ireland, Capital Equipment call, the CREST and MiCRA Gateways received 6 awards for equipment with an overall value of €710k.
The investment in the Gateways was an acknowledgment of industrial research levels in TU Dublin, which services the greater Dublin region. The equipment includes state-of-the-art electron microscopy, thermal analysis, and chromatography equipment that will be housed in the FOCAS and CASH Research Institutes. The equipment will be used on industrial projects to enable the Irish industry to develop innovative products and improve production efficiencies.
Both gateways have a strong track record of industrial collaborations and have worked with over 100 companies in the last 5 years. In addition, research in the CREST and MiCRA Gateways has led to spin-out success with Kastus and Incereb.
The continued support of Enterprise Ireland is justified recognition of the valuable research conducted by the TU Dublin Technology Gateways to support local and national industry.
