School Liaison

Guidance Counsellors play an important role in helping students explore their options at third level. Our School Liaison Team work closely with Guidance Counsellors, and organise activities and events throughout the academic year showcasing the courses and student life at TU Dublin.

School Visits

A member of our School Liaison Team can visit your school at a time that suits you. During the visit, we can deliver a presentation covering the wide range of courses available at TU Dublin, insights into student life, study pathways, and practical tips on preparing for college. If preferred, we can also arrange a virtual presentation to fit your schedule.

If you are planning a careers fair this academic year, we would also be delighted to attend.

Please note that priority for school visits will be given to Leaving Certificate classes from September to December 2025, with sessions for 5th Year and Transition Year groups available from January 2026.

To schedule a visit, please email school.liaison@tudublin.ie with your preferred date and time, school/college details, and a contact name and number. We’ll respond promptly to confirm arrangements.

Transition Year Programmes

TU Dublin runs various programmes for TY Students throughout the year. Facilitated by schools, they are designed especially for curious, creative, and ambitious students and aims to provide them with a taste of university learning while helping to uncover their educational passions. See our TY Page for further information.

Campus Visits

Experiencing our vibrant campuses in person is the best way to learn more about the University. Campus tours are facilitated for school groups and a typical campus tour will last just over an hour. Campus tours will begin from the end of February 2026, and we look forward to welcoming your students to explore life at TU Dublin in person. To book a campus visit for a school group, please email the team at school.liaison@tudublin.ie.

Please note that we cannot facilitate campus tours for individuals.

Open Days

Open Days are a great informal way for your students to find out more about facilities at the university and to chat with our student ambassadors who can share their real-life experiences. The School Liaison Team, along with our academic staff, will also be on hand to discuss the various courses and pathways we have to offer.

Our University Open Day takes place on Saturday, 6 December 2025, from 10:00–14:00. We are also hosting CAO Schools Open Days at our Tallaght and Blanchardstown campuses this November.

Each event will feature a full schedule of course-specific talks. Prospective students will have the opportunity to explore our wide range of courses, meet staff and students, and discover the facilities and support services available on each campus. Schools are welcome to book in class groups.
