TU Dublin invites expressions of interest for the position of non-executive Chair of its Governing Body.
The Chair will lead the Governing Body in fulfilling its governance and strategic oversight responsibilities, promoting constructive discussion, openness, accountability and effective decision-making. The appointee will also support productive relationships between the Governing Body, the President, the University Executive and key national stakeholders.
Candidates should have substantial experience of chairing a board or high-level strategic committee, together with senior leadership experience in a large, diverse and complex organisation. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated expertise in governance, financial management, risk, strategic planning, inclusion and stakeholder engagement are essential.
The role requires an estimated commitment of seven to eight days per month and may be held for a term of up to four years, with eligibility for consideration for one further term. The position is non-remunerated, with reasonable expenses reimbursed in accordance with University policy.
