Date: Tuesday, 13 October 2026
Time: 12:30pm to 1:15pm
Location: Online (joining link will be shared with registered attendees)
Participants will learn how TU Dublin established its carbon baseline, why measuring emissions is a critical first step in climate action, and how this data is helping to shape the University's decarbonisation plans. The webinar will outline key achievements to date, ongoing projects, and the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead as TU Dublin works towards its climate commitments.
A key focus of the discussion will be exploring how the Climate Action Roadmap can support and connect with research, teaching, learning and operational activities across the University. Participants will be encouraged to consider how climate action can be embedded within their own work, studies and areas of expertise, helping to accelerate progress towards TU Dublin's sustainability goals.
The session will also explore the role that every member of the University community can play in supporting climate action through both individual and collective action.
The webinar will launch the TU Dublin Green Campus Open Call 2026, providing students and academic, operations and research staff with an opportunity to develop projects that support Climate Action Roadmap implementation and advance Green-Campus themes. With TU Dublin preparing to renew its Green-Campus, An Taisce Green Flag in 2026, proposals that contribute to themes such as Biodiversity, Transport and Travel, Energy, Litter and Waste, Water, Air Quality, Green ICT and Greening Laboratories are particularly encouraged.
Attendees will learn how to get involved, what types of projects can be funded, and how innovative ideas from across the University community can help drive positive change.
This webinar offers an opportunity to better understand TU Dublin's climate commitments and discover how you can contribute to achieving them.
A follow-up webinar on TU Dublin's Sustainable Events Procedure will take place on Friday, 16 October, providing practical guidance on reducing the environmental impact of events.
Please note that the first part of this webinar will be recorded. The closing Q&A session will not be recorded.
