To mark World Water Day, TU Dublin’s Climate Ambassador and Green-Campus Committee member Amiirah Puttaroo hosted an international webinar in collaboration with Julie Murphy, Climate Ambassador at the University of Limerick. Centred on the global theme “Where Water Flows, Equality Grows,” the event took place on 22 March and brought together speakers from Madagascar, Uganda, Mauritius and Ireland to shed light on the profound links between water, gender, climate resilience and sustainable development.

The webinar created what organisers described as a “space for hope, collaboration and action,” uniting passionate advocates dedicated to protecting water resources and inspiring participants to reflect, learn and take positive action in their own communities.

Throughout the event, speakers reinforced a shared message: water is not just an environmental concern but a matter of equity, dignity, opportunity and resilience.
