SDG Advocate Training Opens for 2026 Applicants
TU Dublin staff and students interested in building their skills in Global Citizenship Education now have the chance to join Ireland’s growing community of Active Citizens through the 2026 SDG Advocate Training Programme.
The programme will support 23 participants to deepen their understanding of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and to lead meaningful, sustainable change in their communities. Over seven months, Advocates will explore how global justice issues—such as climate change, inequality, and the impacts of COVID‑19—connect to everyday life, and will design an informed SDG Action Project within their own practice.
Global Citizenship Education, as defined by Irish Aid, is a lifelong learning approach that encourages critical thinking, challenges stereotypes and empowers people to help build a fairer, more sustainable world.
Applications close 16 March 2026, with an online information session on 28 March, 11am–1pm.
This programme is delivered by Development Perspectives and Trócaire.
