STAND Festival at TU Dublin
From 13–17 October, TU Dublin will come alive with a vibrant programme of events as part of the STAND Global Solidarity Festival, a nationwide celebration of creativity, connection, and collective action, followed by the TU Dublin Global Issues Courses.
At the heart of the week is the “What if?” outdoor exhibition on the Grangegorman campus. This large scale outdoor installation invites us to reimagine how we live, learn, govern, care, and create by exploring bold scenarios for a more just and sustainable world.
The week also features an exciting mix of activities across campuses. In Tallaght (14 Oct), Art for All will bring students together through art, music, and storytelling in a joyful day of creative expression. Back at Grangegorman, a provocative show debate (14 Oct) will ask: “This house supports eco-terrorism”, initiating a dialogue on climate justice and the power of activism.
On 15 Oct, the Global Justice Fair takes over the Central Quad Foyer with NGOs, student societies, VR experiences, food, and hands-on workshops...plus free ice cream! That evening, Yoga for Solidarity will offer a reflective way to connect personal wellbeing with global justice.
Rounding off the week on 17 Oct, Dipping Your Toes in Activism (for Enactus and SVP societies) will support students in turning ideas into meaningful action. Alongside the festival, students can also join the Global Issues Course (1 Oct – 25 Nov), a certified six-week deep dive into the challenges shaping our shared future.
